ERM Implementations Facing Challenges without Competent Consultants
Fine Solutions Among Small Group of Microsoft Partners Holding Masters Axapta and Great Plains Certification Initiative
Edmonds, Washington - March 10, 2007. Fine Solutions, a service provider of Microsoft Dynamics AX and GP Enterprise Resource Management solutions for small and midsized companies, announced today that it has achieved Masters level certification for Microsoft business Solutions products. Fine Solutions achieved “Microsoft Business Solutions Masters” certification through the successful training and testing program. Fine Solutions has been working with Microsoft for many years and previously achieved individual certifications in the areas of finance, production, shop floor control, install, and logistics.
Enterprise Resource Management systems are highly complicated systems. Many companies that try to implement these systems without the proper guidance, planning, and knowledge will face many challenges, and most likely failure. A failed ERM implementation is costly and can handicap a company for years. According to a survey conducted by Forrester Research in April 2001, only six percent of 500 companies surveyed considered their ERM systems effective, while 79 percent said they were not effective or only somewhat effective. Dan Fine, Managing Partner of Fine Solutions, said, “No single point of failure can be attributed to a failed ERM implementation, but most of the time it has to do with hiring unqualified consultants to lead the project.”
Fine Solutions realizes how important it is to have trained consultants. The company rewards employees with stock ownership for certification. Gokhan Kestek, a Fine Solutions employee, met the rigors of the AX certification program by passing seven tests in the following modules; Financials, Trade & Logistics, Production, Installation & Configuration, Product Builder, Shop Floor Control and Development. He is an AX Master. Ashok Kumar, a GP Master, has passed the following tests; GP Integration Manager, Financials, Installation & Configuration, SQL Server 2005. Ashok has also passed; AX Financials, Installation & Configuration. In addition to these Master consultants, Julie Hein recently passed GP Financials.
